Description

This is THE BIG NIGHT for Manka and Mike! Join us to toast their campaigns, await election results, and celebrate what we hope will be a very exciting night. At 7:00pm we should know how Mike has done on the East Coast, and at 8:00pm we’ll start getting Washington state returns and should soon know how Manka is doing.

Manka Dhingra is running for the Washington State Senate, District 45. This race has huge implications for Washington state government. Democrats already control the governor's office and the House of Representatives, and her win would give Democrats a majority in the Senate. Washington would become the seventh state government with a Democratic trifecta. (Twenty-five states have Republican trifectas.)

Mike Mullin is running for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates, District 93. All 100 seats in the House of Delegates are up for election, and Republicans currently hold a 66-34 majority. Democrats have the opportunity to take control of the House—if Mike and the other Democrat incumbents retain their seats, and Democrats gain 17 seats. (This is within the realm of possibility, as Hillary Clinton defeated Donald Trump in 17 Republican-controlled districts.)

The party is casual, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
